Its critical replacement cost is estimated to be at least $700,000. Its larger size will accommodate multiple users, including those with mobility devices and strollers, ensuring everyone can navigate our building comfortably and independently.</span>

		                            <span class="slider_description">The Securing Our Future campaign is a way to provide accessibility, safety, modern amenities, and financial sustainability to ensure that Ohev Beth Sholom can continue to attract congregants and be a place of prayer for all people.
The financial goal for the Securing Our Future campaign is $2 million+ in total. We seek $2 million+ to create an accessible, modern, safe, and suitable space for the future of ritual life in Jewish Youngstown.</span>

		                                    The Planned addition of our new portico and breezeway:		                                </span>
		                                		                                
		                                		                            	                            	
		                            <span class="slider_description">A new portico will be constructed to facilitate safe and accessible drop-off and pick-up of guests, shielding them from inclement weather and integrating advanced security features.</span>

		                            <span class="slider_description">The endowment will be managed by the Congregation Ohev Beth Sholom Board of Trustees. The treasurer, along with additional leadership, will be responsible for establishing the investment strategy and spending policy for the endowment. Professional managers will be hired to evaluate and provide performance updates on a regular basis. All activities associated with the funds will be reported to the Board of Trustees.</span>

		                            <span class="slider_description">Our mission is to complete capital projects focusing on: Accessibility Sustainability Safety Ritual Needs
The installation of our new elevator affords us the opportunity to redesign and reimagine a new main entrance to the synagogue that will provide a more inviting lobby space for guests to gather while they wait for friends and family.</span>

		                            <span class="slider_description">Our vision is to create an investment fund, kept in perpetuity, that will provide revenue to sustain and support our building and the capital investments made during the Securing Our Future campaign.</span>

		                            <span class="slider_description">Our current bima and ark are not and have never been accessible to those with disabilities. After considering numerous options, we have agreed to follow the model of many other historic synagogues by installing a lower bima with ramps, handrails, and a pulpit to ensure all congregants can participate fully in our services. Additionally, handrails will be installed near the ark to assist those accessing the elevated areas.</span>

		                            <span class="slider_description">Seats throughout the sanctuary will also be removed to allow for wheelchairs, walkers, strollers, and other accessibility and mobility devices.</span>
